Jack Shantry (1-41 off 19 overs) took the fourth wicket, with the score on 95, and then Jones (5-45 off 11 overs) captured the next two wickets to leave the home side on 139-6.
Shaaiq Choudhry (1-20 off 10 overs), Joe Leach (1-13 off 4 overs) and Chris Russell (1-49 off 19 overs) respectively took the next three wickets and then Graeme Cessford (1-38 off 17.4 overs) took his maiden first-class wicket to dismiss Oxford MCCU's top-scorer Will Marriott (81) as the students were all out for 220 off 80.4 overs, with Ben Cox's 7 catches equalling the most victims in an innings for a Worcestershire wicket keeper in first-class cricket.
With a lead of 128 runs Alexei Kervezee (47*) and Neil Pinner (31*) then survived the remaining 23 overs as Worcestershire ended the day on 80-0.

Resuming on 80-0 in their second innings Worcestershire lost their first wicket off the third ball of the day when Alexei Kervezee was lbw for 47 off 71 balls, with 7 fours. Neil Pinner then went to his second 50 of the match before he was trapped lbw for 80 off 107 balls, with 11 fours and 1 six, with the score on 158-2, and then Ben Cox scored an unbeaten 52 off 51 balls, with 6 fours, with Shaaiq Choudhry also unbeaten on 21, as the visitors declared on 210-2 off 43.4 overs.
Oxford MCCU required 339 runs to win but once Jack Shantry took the first wicket in the opening over of the innings it was more a case of whether Worcestershire could dismiss the students for a second time.
Freddie Coleman top-scored for Oxford MCCU with 46 but Shantry's first-class career best figures of 7-60 off 22.3 overs was the highlight as Oxford MCCU were all out for 208 off 59.3 overs to give the visitors their first win of the season.
