In the glorious New Road sunshine Worcestershire netted a valuable victory over Glamorgan CCC in their pre-season opener at the County Ground.
In the 40 over match, Glamorgan won the toss and decided to bat. The Welsh side were indebted to Ben Wright's 104 and captain Mark Wallace's 45 as they amassed a total of 264-9. The wickets fell to David Lucas (4-25) and Nick Harrison (3-70).
In reply, Worcestershire's James Cameron provided a solid 60 runs up front, before captain Daryl Mitchell scored a sharp 44-ball half century. The skipper then managed to complete the four-wicket victory with 5 balls to spare, finishing on an unbeaten 78.
