DAY 1

On an eventful opening day at Kenilworth Wardens Worcestershire were bowled out for 175 in their first innings and in reply Warwickshire were 165-7 at stumps.

Play was delayed until 12pm due to an area of the outfield being wet from a leaky pipe watering the adjoining football pitch and Worcestershire, after being put into bat, were soon reduced to 35-5 as Jack Manuel (6), Neil Pinner (0), Tom Kohler-Cadmore (12), Shaaiq Choudhry (5) and Ben Cox (0) all departed in the first 20 overs.  Joe Leach (18) and Richard Jones (22) put on 38 for the sixth wicket before Leach was out and when Jones departed soon afterwards Worcestershire were deep in trouble at 75-7.

Then Matt Pardoe, who was unwell at the start of play and came into bat at number 8, made a quickfire 52 off 53 balls, with 4 fours and 2 sixes, and along with Chris Russell, who scored 37 off 39 balls, with 6 fours, they made 67 for the ninth wicket as Worcestershire were bowled out for 175 in 51 overs.

Jones then made the early breakthrough in Warwickshire's first innings when, with the score on 7, Mike Hingley was caught by Choudhry for 2.  Jon Webb and Freddie Coleman put on 57 for the second wicket.until trailist Charlie Morris took the wickets of both Coleman (34) and Tom Burton (8) to leave the home side on 78-3.

Webb and Ateeq Javid (17) then put on 49 for the fourth wicket before Leach trapped Javid lbw, with the score on 127-4, and three more wickets were to fall before the close as Choudhry had Tom Milnes lbw for 3, Peter McKay was run out by Pinner for 11, and then Pinner, with the final ball of the day, bowled Webb for 64, as Warwickshire ended the first day, 10 runs behind, on 165-7.

DAY 2

No play was possible on the second day at Kenilworth Wardens due to the wet weather.

DAY 3

For the second consecutive day there was no play at Kenilworth Wardens due to rain and the match has been drawn.  Worcestershire take 7 points from this match.
