Ben Cox is Worcestershire’s leading run-scorer in the Specsavers County Championship heading into tomorrow’s encounter with Glamorgan at Sophia Gardens (11 am start).

The County’s wicket-keeper batsman has totalled nearly 300 runs from the opening six Championship matches.

Cox scored an unbeaten century against Leicestershire at the Fischer County Ground and last week struck 61 in the drawn match with Sussex at Kidderminster.

He has totalled 297 runs at an average of 42.42.

Cox has also pouched 15 catches and a stumping since the beginning of the 2019 campaign.

Riki Wessels, Ross Whiteley and Daryl Mitchell are the other Worcestershire players to pass the 200 run mark.

Charlie Morris remains Worcestershire’s leading wicket-taker with 25 from his five appearances to date this summer at an average of 17.08.

Club captain Joe Leach and Josh Tongue (16 apiece), Wayne Parnell (14) and Ed Barnard (12) are the other main wicket-takers.
