Ben Hoping To Transfer 50 Over Form Into Two Day Clash For Kangaroos

Ben Cox will be looking to take his outstanding form in 50 over cricket for Greenvale Kangaroos into a two-day away Victorian Premier Cricket Bartercard Men's Premier Firsts fixture with Ringwood beginning tomorrow (Saturday).

The Worcestershire wicket-keeper has scored three half centuries in his four innings and is averaging 109.

His county team-mate Jack Shantry has also impressed with the bat for the Kangaroos, averaging 59.50.

The fixture is spread over successive weekends and will be concluded on November 8.

Richard Oliver and Ross Whiteley will be hoping to inspire Geelong City and Prospects CC respectively when their two-day encounters reach a climax this weekend.

Geelong skipper Oliver can expect to be part of a challenging run chase with opponents Geelong West having scored 240-8 from 85 overs on the opening day in the Geelong Cricket Association Division One fixture.

Whiteley's side were dismissed for 152 against East Torrens who closed the opening day of their South Australian Cricket Association 'A' grade fixture on 143-0 from just 31 overs.

Joe Leach will be striving to maintain his fine all-round form for North Canberra Gungahlin in their Australian Capital Territory first grade clash away to Tuggerangong Valley.

Leach helped his side to a double success over ANU and Eastlake last weekend.

Eastlake will this week provide the opponents for England Under-19 all-rounder Ed Barnard and his side Queanbeyan District.

His Under-19 team-mate Joe Clarke will begin a two day game for South Perth CC away to Melville tomorrow in a Western Australian Cricket Association first grade match. The game will be completed on November 8.

Alex Hepburn's Willetton Dragons will do battle with Claremont-Nedlands in a WACA fixture.
