Worcestershire Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes has taken plenty of positives from the drawn Specsavers County Championship clash with Gloucestershire at Bristol.
Rhodes felt the outcome was a fair result after the two sides had "fought incredibly hard" over the four days before shaking hands on the outcome with Worcestershire claiming 13 points and Gloucestershire 12.
Here Rhodes gives his verdict on the match to BBC Hereford-Worcester's Dave Bradley.
Question: What did you make of that?
Steve Rhodes: "If I was an England selector who had come to watch four days of Division Two cricket, you'd have seen a really good match with some quality cricket played.
"I thought there was some good bowling and batting from both teams, centuries from both teams. It was intriguing stuff, it could have gone either way, and possibly the draw is a fair result in the end."
Question: Was the pitch a bit too good in the end?
Steve Rhodes: "I wouldn't say too good. I thought it was a good cricket wicket. We are still in April and to produce a wicket with five centurions, that is a really good effort.
"It was hard work at times for the bowlers but also at times there was a bit in it. Maybe it could have gone up and down just a little bit more on the fourth day just to make it more interesting but I think the groundsman has done a cracking job.
"It has been terribly cold for the people watching but the ones who braved it for four days have seen a really interesting game of Division Two cricket."
Question: What will the players take out of this?
Steve Rhodes: "A lot. There are some real positives. We had opportunities where we potentially could have won the game and we didn't quite take them which sometimes happens, not through lack of effort and also some good quality from the opposition.
"Chris Dent's second innings knock for them was outstanding. I thought Jack Taylor struck them out of trouble with some really lusty blows and he is a very clean striker of the ball.
"In the first innings, Hamish Marshall was outstanding with his knock but our two boys who got hundreds, Joe Clarke and Moeen Ali, I thought they played well and it was really good cricket.
"I was delighted to watch it over the four days and get going. The bowlers had plenty of overs under their belt which is always a good sign in the sense of taking things forward to the next game against Essex."
Question: Anything you need to work on?
Steve Rhodes: "There is always elements of rustiness in the first game of the season. We dropped two really hard chances and other than that, we caught well. Our ground fielding was good and in parts we bowled well and at times we batted well.
"It has been no train smash. We came away with a point more than Gloucestershire in the match and both teams fought incredibly hard and a draw was a fair result in the end."
