Tom Kohler-Cadmore rewrote the record books with a stunning century for Worcestershire Rapids in the NatWest T20 Blast 38 run win over Durham Jets at New Road.
Kohler-Cadmore raced to three figures off just 43 balls with five sixes and 13 fours as Worcestershire amassed 225-6 after being put into bat.
It was the highest individual score in T20 cricket by a Worcestershire player, surpassing the 116 not out by Graeme Hick against Northants at Luton in 2004.
Worcestershire's total was their highest ever in the T20 at New Road and their second largest total in the history of the competition behind the 227-6 against Northants at Kidderminster in 2007.
Then Joe Leach's career best T20 figures of 5-33 helped restrict Durham to 187-8 in reply.
Kohler-Cadmore opened the innings and destroyed the Jets attack with some brutal but clean hitting.
All of the bowlers were put to the sword and at one stage Kohler-Cadmore struck nine successive deliveries for boundaries – 4, 4, 4, 6, 6, 4, 4, 4, 4.
He went to 50 off 21 deliveries with the aid of 28 from an over by Barry McCarthy and at the end of the six over powerplay had scored 71 not out from 79-1.
There was no let up in the blitz and the whole ground rose to applaud after Kohler-Cadmore went to three figures off 43 balls with five sixes and 13 fours.
Only Ben Smith (42 balls) had registered a quicker century for the County in the competition in 2005.
Kohler-Cadmore eventually holed out on the mid wicket boundary for 127 off the bowling of Paul Coughlin at 167-4 in the 15th over.
In total he struck eight sixes and 14 fours and faced just 54 balls.
Kohler-Cadmore added 73 with Joe Clarke (9) and 74 with Ross Whiteley (19).
Then Brett D'Oliveira ensured the momentum was maintained with an unbeaten 39 off 21 deliveries.
When Durham launched their reply, Mark Stoneman was dropped at cover off Jack Shantry when on 24.
But the miss did not prove costly as Joe Leach bowled the opener for 25 with his first delivery of the innings.
Durham reached 57-1 at the end of the six over powerplay.
Mitchell Santner came into the attack and his first over for the Rapids brought about the downfall of Graham Clark (32) as he perished to Kohler-Cadmore at long off.
The New Zealand spinner enjoyed another success in his next over as Michael Richardson (2) gave Kohler-Cadmore another catch at long off.
Santner finished with the excellent figures of 2-29 from four overs.
Leach returned to the attack and sent back Ryan Pringle (21) with Matt Henry showing a safe pair of hands at deep mid wicket.
In the same over Calum MacLeod (0) was caught behind by Cox.
The all-rounder repeated his double strike in his next over when Phil Mustard (64) perished to Whiteley at deep mid wicket and Barry McCarthy (0) top edged a catch to Cox.
