worcestershire ccc’s 2018 chairman’s lunch in the chestnut marquee on friday, april 6 is once again on course to be a sell-out – and those attending can be assured of an afternoon to remember!
entertainment, for what is a strong contender for the most popular corporate event on the calendar at New Road, will be provided by britain’s got talent finalist, les gibson.
les is a renowned comedy impressionist, covering a spectrum of voices from television, sport and general celebrity.
the former carpenter from liverpool began doing impressions at the age of 11 and has been professionally impersonating people for 13 years.
les reached the final of britain’s got talent after winning the live semi-final with 38.1 per cent of the vote, a performance that has received over 1 million views on youtube to go with the 3.9 million views of his first audition. click here for his semi final performance
les is an outstanding sports impersonator with the likes of golf’s -ewan murray, butch harmon, tiger woods, phil mickleson, padraig harrington, ernie els, football’s – david beckham, roy hodgson, harry redknapp, jose mourinho, and sir alex ferguson to name but a few and he will no doubt venture in the world of cricket and who knows maybe a bit closer to home……
the worcestershire players and coaches will take a break from preparing for the exciting challenge ahead of specsavers division one county championship cricket and will be out in force at the chairman’s lunch.
they will be interacting with the many valued sponsors and guests and members-supporters who will be attending and also taking part in interviews in which they will offer an insight into the 2018 campaign.
guests will arrive in the graeme hick pavilion – where the bar will be open from 12.30pm – before heading down to the chestnut marquee for a 1.30pm sit down, where a delicious three course luncheon will be served.
