Chance To See County Youngsters In Live Tv Action For England U-19S

Worcestershire supporters will have the chance to see some of the County's promising youngsters in action on live television tomorrow evening (Wednesday).

England Under-19s will take on their Sri Lankan counterparts in the third and final Royal London One-Day Series encounter under floodlights at the Spitfire Ground, Canterbury.

The match is being screened by Sky Sports from 1.55pm.

Spinner Ben Twohig and batsmen Zen Malik and Josh Dell are part of the England squad looking to gain a consolation win after losing the opening two games of the series.

Twohig, who recently signed a new three year contract with Worcestershire, made his Under-19 debut in the second ODI at Chelmsford which Sri Lanka won by one wicket.

The slow left armer returned the highly creditable figures of 2-55 from 10 overs as Sri Lanka chased down a 316 target.

He dismissed top four batsmen Charith Asalanka, the Sri Lankan captain, and Wanidu Hasaranga de Silva for 27 and 12 respectively and bowled 29 dot balls in his spell.

Malik followed up his 32 in his first call-up in the opening ODI at Wormsley by making 18 off 10 deliveries.
