Choudhry Recalled For Home Encounter With Hampshire

Spinner Shaaiq Choudhry returned to the Worcestershire side for today's LV = County Championship clash with Hampshire at New Road.

Choudhry was side-lined for a month after suffering a broken thumb while playing club cricket.

It is his first appearance for the county since the opening home Championship match of the campaign against Kent in April.

Choudhry replaced Moeen Ali, who has been selected for England's opening Test of the summer against Sri Lanka at Lord's.

It is the only change from the side which drew with Surrey at the Kia Oval.

Skipper Daryl Mitchell won the toss and elected to bat on a sunny morning at New Road.

Worcestershire: Mitchell, Pardoe, Fell, Kervezee, Whiteley, Cox, Leach, Shantry, Choudhry, Ajmal, Morris.
