County Keeper-Batsman Milton Makes Fine Start To Spell In Cape Town

alex milton has made a fine start to his second spell with claremont cricket club in south africa this winter.

the worcestershire wicket-keeper batsman already has a fifty and a century to his name for the cape town based club.

milton scored 54 not out versus western province in a western province cricket association premier league fixture although he ended on the losing side in that fixture.

the New Road academy product followed that up by hitting an unbeaten 102 in the victory against belville cc.

milton’s efforts have helped claremont to make a successful start to the season, winning three of their four opening fixtures in the 50 overs a side competition.

he is also combining his two month stint with claremont by working during the week at the gary kirsten academy.

milton signed a new three year contract with worcestershire last month and was a regular member of the county side in the specsavers county championship during the second half of last summer.

he will return home shortly before christmas and then join back up with worcestershire for pre-season work at malvern college in january after the festive break.
