County Name 12 Man Squad For Home Meeting With Leaders Hampshire

Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes has named a 12 man squad for Worcestershire's LV = County Championship Division Two clash with current leaders Hampshire at New Road starting tomorrow (11pm).

All-rounder  Moeen Ali is unavailable for second placed Worcestershire after being selected in the England Test squad for next Thursday's clash with Sri Lanka at Lord's.

Batsman Tom Kohler-Cadmore and paceman Chris Russell are added to the other 10 players who were in action in the rain-hit draw with Surrey at the Kia Oval

. Kohler-Cadmore played in the opening five Championship matches of the campaign and Rhodes is hoping the Malvern College product and another youngster in Tom Fell can make their mark.

He said: "We've got both Toms in the middle order, they are both very young players, it's a great opportunity for them.

"Hopefully one of them, if not others, will get some sort of score and really stamp his mark on the team and his place in the side."

Worcestershire have won all three of their home fixtures to date in the competition against Kent, Derbyshire and Essex while all four of their away games have been rain-ravaged draws including the game at the Ageas Bowl in April.

Squad: Mitchell (captain), Pardoe, Kohler-Cadmore, Fell, Kervezee, Whiteley, Cox (wicket-keeper), Leach, Ajmal, Shantry, Morris, Russell.
