COUNTY NAME SIDE FOR CHESTER ROAD MEETING WITH GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Worcestershire will continue their pre-season programme when they take on Gloucestershire in a 50 over game at Kidderminster tomorrow (11am start).

First Team Coach Alex Gidman is continuing to rotate the squad and giving everyone valuable time at the crease or overs under their belt before the start of the campaign.

Ollie Westbury, Daryl Mitchell and Charlie Morris return to the Rapids side in the changes from the high-scoring 50 over win over Warwickshire at Edgbaston on Thursday.

Mitchell and Morris scored 55 and picked up two wickets respectively in the two-day game versus the Bears earlier in the week.

All-rounder George Rhodes is unfit for the Chester Road encounter which is the County’s final 50 over work-out before the launch of the Royal London One-Day Cup group campaign next month.

Gidman’s former county Gloucestershire have, like Worcestershire, spent part of their pre-season build-up abroad.

They have just returned from defeating Glamorgan 3-0 in a 50 over series in La Manga.
