County Not To Offer New Contracts To Pardoe And Cessford

Worcestershire CCC will not be offering new contracts to opening batsman Matt Pardoe and paceman Graeme Cessford whose current deals at New Road expire at the end of this season.

Pardoe, 23, made his debut for the county in 2011 and in his career has played 56 first class and five List A games.

Thirty-year-old Cessford joined Worcestershire at the start of the 2013 season and has participated in six first class and four List A matches.

Pardoe said: "I would like to thank the club for the past 10 years from a youngster on the Academy to the present day.

"It was fantastic growing up through the guidance of Damian D'Oliveira and playing first class cricket for Worcestershire.

"I wish the Club all the best in the future and look forward to the next chapter of my career."

Worcestershire Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes said: "I would like to thank both Matt and Graeme for all their commitment and effort for the County and wish them both the very best for their future careers."
