Worcestershire 2017 overseas spin duo Nathan Lyon and Ravichandran Ashwin are the leading two wicket-takers in Test cricket during the 2017 calendar year.

Lyon and Ashwin both played four Specsavers County Championship matches for Worcestershire this summer.

Australian ace Lyon is top of the list with 60 victims in just 10 Tests including five five-wicket hauls.

His overall figures are 506.2-97-1375-60-22.91.

Ashwin, who picked up 20 wickets and made important runs during his spell at Blackfinch New Road, is not far behind Lyon.

The Indian star has a haul of 56 wickets from 11 Tests.

Ashwin’s overall figures are 554.0-119-1545-56-27.58 with the aid of two wicket wicket returns.

Moeen Ali may not have had his most prolific series during the Ashes but he has 33 Test wickets to his name during 2017.

His victims in 10 Test appearances have come at a cost of 28.93 runs apiece.

The Worcestershire all-rounder’s analysis reads 288.0-51-955-33-28.93 and in addition he has scored 477 Test runs at an average of 28.05.
