Worcestershire paceman Charlie Morris says he has thought "in good detail" about needing to be more aggressive towards opposing batsmen.
But the county's Players' Player and Young Player of the Year insists it will not involve dishing out the 'verbals.'
The 22-year-old believes actions speak better than words as he looks to build on a superb full season at New Road when he picked up 52 wickets and played in all 16 LV = County Championship matches.
Morris said: "I thought about it (being more aggressive) in good detail. I don't necessarily think you have to give verbals anymore.
"Looking back at the great West Indies bowlers, they didn't give any verbals but they gave a hard stare and were aggressive in their body language.
"It doesn't mean you have to go down the wicket giving verbals to the batter.
"As long as your body language is positive and you run in hard, I think that can paint a bigger picture if anything.
"It is very easy to say words but the important thing is to back it up by playing good cricket and bowling well so that's what I'll aim to do and fingers crossed it will work."
