Worcestershire paceman Josh Tongue made an encouraging return to bowling with three wickets for Brockhampton in Division One of the Birmingham League.
Tongue has been side-lined for the past two months with a back injury but has made a quicker than expected return after being put through his paces by County First Team Physiotherapist Ben Davies and Strengthening and Conditioning Coach Rossr Dewar.
He returned 3-11 from 4.3 overs as Old Hill were bowled out for 65 in 23.3 overs.
It is hoped Tongue will be able to return to Second Eleven action with Worcestershire by the end of the month.
Brockhampton also struggled for runs, with Tongue dismissed for a duck, but they squeezed home by four wickets.
In the same division George Rhodes turned in a fine all-round performance for Barnard Green.
Rhodes, who has made his Worcestershire senior breakthrough in white ball cricket this month, scored 55 off 71 balls with two sixes and eight fours after opening as Barnard Green totalled 247-8 in 55 overs.
Then the all-rounder, who skippers the County's Second Eleven, picked up five wickets for 10 runs in 5.5 overs with his off-spin as Bromsgrove were bowled out for 64 in 30.4 overs.
Another second teamer and Academy product, Zen Malik, was amongst the wickets for Wolverhampton in a Premier Division fixture.
Malik, who scored his maiden century for the Seconds earlier in the summer, finished with 5-53 from 16.3 overs as Knowle and Dorridge were dismissed for 198 in 54.3 overs.
Wolverhampton triumphed by four wickets in 52.3 overs.
