Worcestershire rewrote the record books as they secured maximum batting points for the fourth successive match on day two of the Specsavers County Championship clash with Sussex at New Road.
Their final total of 491 all out in 121.2 overs was the County's highest ever against Sussex, beating the 464 at Hove in 2010.
Then their bowling attack made significant inroads into the Sussex first innings with Joe Leach (2), Matt Henry, Ed Barnard, Jack Shantry and Brett D'Oliveira amongst the wickets as Sussex closed on 192-6 from 70 overs,
When Worcestershire resumed on 382-4, Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Ross Whiteley extended their fifth wicket partnership to 120 in 33 overs before both were dismissed by former Worcestershire paceman Steve Magoffin.
Worcestershire reached 419-6 from 110 overs and secured five batting points to add to the full haul versus Gloucestershire, Essex and Glamorgan.
Kohler-Cadmore went to his fifty off 91 balls with six fours in the 104th over – the same one in which the 400 was raised.
But in the next over the former Malvern College pupil played back to Magoffin and was lbw for 51.
Whiteley advanced to 71 before he was dismissed in the next over from Magoffin, bowled off an inside edge from an attempted pull.
Keeper Ben Cox and vice-captain Leach joined forces at 408-6 and added 47 in quickfire time.
Cox collected three boundaries in an over from spinner Luke Wells and a straight drive to the ropes by Leach off Lewis Hatchett raised the 450.
The seventh wicket pair added 47 in nine overs before Leach (26) lofted Stuart Whittingham into the hands of Chris Nash at mid off.
Cox's bright and breezy innings of 30 was ended when he drove Lewis Hatchett to Nash at backward point at 467-8.
Barnard (14) holed out to backward square leg off Wells and the innings ended when Henry (11) was caught at point from the bowling of Ollie Robinson.
Nash, who completed 10,000 first class runs when on 14, and Ed Joyce put on 58 for the first Sussex wicket before the latter was bowled by Barnard for 31.
It became 72-2 when Henry returned to the attack and trapped Nash lbw for 36.
Shantry then held onto a well judged catch at fine leg after Wells (16) had hooked at Leach with the total 94-3.
Leach made another breakthrough in his next over when Ross Taylor (11) was lbw to the final ball before tea.
Harry Finch (3) nicked a Shantry delivery to Kohler-Cadmore at first slip and Sussex had lost half of their sidewith 116 on the board.
Resistance came from skipper Ben Brown and Matt Machan in a sixth wicket stand of 56.
But Brett D'Oliveira came into the attack to claim his first Championship wicket of the season when Machan went lbw for 36.
Ben Brown finished unbeaten on 49 for the visitors.
