County Star Whiteley Facing Another Double Header

The games are coming thick and fast for Worcestershire all-rounder Ross Whiteley in the Bangladesh Premier League.

His side, Sylhet Sixers, made a double winning start in the competition thanks to victories over Dhaka Dynamites on Saturday and Comilla Victorians yesterday.

Now they face back to back matches against Rajshahi Kings tomorrow and Khulna Titans on Wednesday.

Both games will again take place in the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Whiteley will be familiar with several of the players in the Rajshahi line-up including Sussex’s Luke Wright and Nottinghamshire’s Samit Patel.

Skipper Darren Sammy and James Franklin have also played county cricket.

Rajshahi lost their opening game by six wickets to the Rangpur Riders.

Included in the Khulna squad is another Sussex player in all-rounder Jofra Archer plus Carlos Brathwaite and Rilee Rossouw.

The Titans also tasted defeat in their first game by 65 runs to Dhaka Dynamites.

Whiteley did not bat against the Dynamites but scored 10 from 14 balls before being run out versus the Victorians.
