"Some of the players are spending time in our development of excellence programme or working with our academy programmes.

"It has been a really healthy relationship. We all know the players that have come from Shropshire in recent times, the likes of Richard Oliver and Jack Shantry who have come from different routes to the guys like Joe Leach, Ed Barnard and Joe Clarke who have come from the more traditional routes.

"Now we've got people involved in the Academy like Dillon Pennington, Xavier Clarke and Ryan Wheldon and we are hopeful one, if not all of them, will progress through onto professional terms over the next three to five years
