Worcestershire Under-15 side are through to the quarter-finals of the prestigious ECB County Cup and will take on Nottinghamshire Under-15s at Kidderminster’s Chester Road ground tomorrow (Wednesday).

The Under-15s produced a superb performance to top Group 2A and registered their sixth win in eight games when they defeated Warwickshire Under-15s.

They chalked up 24 points from their eight matches – seven more than runners-up Cricket Wales who also qualified for the last eight.

Worcestershire will face a Nottinghamshire side who finished runners-up in Group 1A with the winners participating in the semi-finals – and possibly final – at Kibworth CC, Leicestershire on August 23 and 24.

The County have named an unchanged side for the quarter-final which includes Alex Hinkley and Peter Clark.

The duo have been selected for the ‘Best Of Bunburys’ matches at the National Performance Centre, Loughborough from August 27-29 and will represent the combined Midlands-North side.
