COX AND MORRIS ARE LEADING RUN-SCORER AND WICKET-TAKER FOR COUNTY

Ben Cox and Charlie Morris are Worcestershire’s leading run-scorer and wicket-taker respectively after the opening quartet of matches in the Specsavers County Championship.

Wicket-keeper and red ball vice-captain Cox has totalled 234 runs at an average of 46.80 including an unbeaten hundred against Leicestershire.

Daryl Mitchell, also against Leicestershire, and Riki Wessels, at home to Durham, are the County’s other century-makers so far this season.

All-rounder Ross Whiteley is the other player after Cox to score more than 200 runs.

Morris has so far picked up a handsome harvest of 25 wickets since returning to the side this season.

A career best 7-45 versus Leicestershire was followed by 6-53 against Durham.
