Ben Cox is delighted to have recaptured his run-scoring form in Australia after the Worcestershire keeper identified "technical problems" which affected his form with the bat during the latter part of the 2014 campaign at New Road.
Cox scored his maiden first class century for the county in the home LV =County Championship clash with Hampshire.
He also hit three other fifties including a crucial 89 in the home success over Kent when the game was evenly balanced.
Cox finished with 604 Championship runs at an average of 26.26 in his first full season of first team cricket before his contributions became less sizeable during the climax to the season.
But he has made an excellent start to his winter long spell at Greenvale Kangaroos with three half centuries in four knocks and an average of 109.
Cox said: "As regards 2014, I thought the first two thirds of the season were really good. I was scoring runs and keeping well too, but most importantly was contributing to us winning.
"To have my name sung in the team song after beating Kent at home was very special for me, and then to go on a few weeks later to get my maiden hundred versuss Hampshire was even better!
"I thought my keeping throughout the year was good but, in the last third of the year, I didn't score the runs as consistently at all.
"Struggling with a couple of technical problems was what I realised was the problem.
"Having identified them, I've tried a couple of things to rectify the problem and to come out here to Australia and get back to scoring runs straight away is very, very pleasing."
