Cricket Society London Trip Close To Sell-Out

Cricket Society London Trip Close To Sell-Out

Worcestershire Cricket Society’s two-day trip to London in April – incorporating visits to three iconic sporting venues – is now close to being a sell-out.

Organiser Mike Hitchings reports today that 48 people have already booked their places for the £200 trip on April 8 and 9 which includes tours of Wimbledon, Lord’s and Wembley Stadium.

With a 53 seater executive coach again booked, it leaves only five remaining places.

Anyone interested is advised to book as soon as possible by contacting Mike via 07979 464715 (phone), mikehitchings@aol.com (email), or 34 Derwent Drive, Mitton, Tewkesbury, Glos.GL20 8BB (post).

The price includes evening meal and breakfast at the Danubius Regent Park hotel, which is located next to Lord’s, the cost of the coach and driver’s tip, entry fee to Wimbledon, Lord’s and Wembley, plus a meal at RAF Hendon.

The April trip of the Society has become a popular annual event with Mike Hitchings taking over the organising from Roger Tapping two years ago.

In 2015 the Society visited Manchester and incorporated a trip to Emirates Old Trafford with some members also visiting the famous football ground of the same name.

Last April a three day trip included visits to the 1st Central County Ground, Hove, and the Ageas Bowl plus Portsmouth and the New Forest.
