Brett D'Oliveira won his first England Lions cap today in the Tri-Series encounter with Pakistan 'A' at Canterbury.

The Worcestershire all-rounder received his opportunity in the third match of the series which also features Sri Lanka 'A'.

It was a proud moment for the 22-year-old when he was presented with his cap before the start of play by ECB lead batting coach Graham Thorpe.

D'Oliveira is currently the County's leading scorer in first class cricket this summer with 815 runs at an average of 50.93 with one double hundred, two other centuries and a 99.

He also finished as Worcestershire's top run-getter in the NatWest T20 Blast with 353 at 35.30 and his leg-spin is continue to develop in all formats of the game.

Worcestershire team-mate Joe Clarke was unable to add to his two caps in the series because of injury.

The 20-year-old suffered a side injury when warming up for Friday's T20 Blast clash at Derby and will play no further part in the Tri-Series.
