Early Bird And Family Tickets Available For New Road ‘legends’ Concert

Early Bird And Family Tickets Available For New Road ‘legends’ Concert

There is just over a month to go until the 'Legends' concert starring UB40 takes place at New Road – and tickets can still be purchased at Early Bird prices!

It currently costs just £45 to purchase a ticket for this 12 hour event which also features Lulu, Lighthouse Family, M People, Alexander O'Neal and the Real Thing.

But also of excellent value is a Family Ticket which entitles two adults and two children aged Under-12 to attend this mega event for £80.

And for an extra £10, children will be able to play all day long in a massive inflatable land containing 15 rides.

The County are also mindful of providing real value for money via drink and food outlets and ensuring there are no frustrating long queues.

Worcestershire CCC General Manager Jon Graham said: "The Early Bird tickets are still available at £45 and probably will be available until the back end of August.

"We are giving everyone the opportuity to purchase them for the promotional price before they go up in the run-up to the concert in probably the final two weeks.

"We are doing a really good family ticket, two adults and two children under the age of 12 for £80 which is really popular.

"We have done a deal with a company called Simply the Best and we are going to have a huge inflatable land with 15 different rides you can go on.

"This will include things like 'The Drop' where the kids can jump off a big inflatable onto a huge crash mat all excellently supervised. This company are really top notch.

"They will have about 35 staff there and a day ticket for the inflatable land is £10 so the children can play all day, unlimited. It is amazing. It is not one of these low key bouncy castle type things. This is absolute top notch.

"We have also done a sponsorship deal with Greene King for the concert where they are going to build a 40 metre bar in front of the Basil D'Oliveira Stand.

"We are not going to be looking to charge the people the earth for drinks. It will be £4.00 for a pint of lager, bitter, cider and the sheer size of the bar means you won't have to wait for a drink.

"Bidvest, who are our food provider, are sponsoring our food hall which is a marquee which will hold about 1,000 people which will be in front of the New Road boxes on the outfield.

"We will be offering burgers, chicken wraps, chilean rice, a lot of variation, all £4."

Graham added: "We are just trying to establish ourselves and saying this is a family event, it's going to be fun, we'd like to think we are catering for everyone and every pocket, we are not trying to rip people off.

"There will be cashback facilities in the ground and we want people to get here and if they want a drink or some food, it's not going to be a hassle, there will be plenty of toilet facilities, and great viewing because the two stages will be next to each other with the Cathedral as a backdrop."
