England Under-19S Trio Return For Seconds In Edgbaston Day-Night Clash

England Under-19S Trio Return For Seconds In Edgbaston Day-Night Clash

Worcestershire Seconds will welcome back their England Under-19 players for the day-night Championship match with Warwickshire Seconds at Edgbaston which gets underway at 2pm tomorrow (Monday).

Ben Twohig, Zen Malik and Josh Dell all featured in the Under-19s squad for both the two Tests and three ODIs against Sri Lanka Under-19s.

A fourth player, Ollie Westbury, had already rejoined the Seconds after being part of only the Test squad and scoring 196 in the first match of the series at Fenners.

Batsman Tom Kohler-Cadmore will also feature against the Bears.

The 22-year-old scored a fine century against Northamptonshire in the Royal London One-Day Cup at New Road last month.

But he has struggled for runs in recent Championship matches and registered a pair in the match with Glamorgan at New Road last week.

The game with Warwickshire is part of an experiment that could lead to the first day-night Test in England next year and will be played under floodlights with a pink ball.

It is a dry run for a possible day night clash between England and West Indies in the first Test of next summer's series which gets underway at Edgbaston on August 17.
