Falcons Skipper Durston Returns After Injury For Rapids Clash

Falcons Skipper Durston Returns After Injury For Rapids Clash

Derbyshire Falcons skipper Wes Durston will return for tonight's Natwest T20 Blast clash with Worcestershire Rapids at New Road.

The all-rounder has been out of action for five weeks with a side strain since playing against Northamptonshire Steelbacks towards the end of May.

Alex Hughes has been captain in Durston's absence.

Durston has a strike rate of nearly 200 in the T20 Blast this summer, his two innings to date producing 77 runs off just 39 balls.

Another player returning to the 13 man squad after injury is Tom Milnes and he played alongside Durston in yesterday's Second Eleven Trophy match against Nottinghamshire at Worksop.

Derbyshire overcame Worcestershire by seven wickets in the Royal London One-Day Cup clash at New Road on June 5.

On that occasion Hamish Rutherford hit 104 off 76 balls with seven sixes as Derbysire chased down a 296 target with 11 balls to spare.
