Worcestershire Rapids suffered weather frustration when today's Royal London One-Day Cup match with Leicestershire Foxes was abandoned.
Heavy overnight rain left puddles on the edge of the square and prevented play from starting on time.
The skies gradually brightened and umpires Neil Bainton and Nick Cook announced a 2pm inspection.
The groundstaff were able to start carrying out mopping up operations in the hope of play being possible later in the day.
But those hopes were dashed as a tremendous deluge left the ground flooded for large areas.
The Rapids were eager to try and chalk up a fourth successive win in white ball cricket and have triumphed in two of their three group games in the One-Day Cup.
Skipper Daryl Mitchell and paceman Matt Henry are due to undergo fitness tests on their respective rib injuries.
