Greening Shines For County Under-15S In Seven Wicket Win

Worcestershire Under-15s gained a convincing seven wicket victory over their Staffordshire counterparts at Milford Hall.

Charlie Greening produced a fine performance with the ball as Staffordshire collapsed from 36-0 to 87 all out from 30.3 overs.

He came on second change and finished with the excellent figures of 5-16 from nine overs.

Nicholas Jakobsen was the other main wicket-taker for Worcestershire, returning 3-12 from 3.3 overs.

Worcestershire were aided by 28 overs in reaching their modest target with Dan Meredith (19) and Ed Bragg (17) their main contributors with the bat.

They reached their target in 24.5 overs.

The Worcestershire Academy side will be in action on Bank Holiday Monday (May 29) as they take on the Midland Club Cricket Conference at Stourbridge CC (11am start).

Academy coach Elliot Wilson has named a 12 strong squad for the 50 over fixture.
