Hastings Set For First Action In Worcs Colours

John Hastings is set to make his first appearance in Worcestershire colours in tomorrow's second 50 over clash with Somerset at Taunton Vale.

Director Of Cricket Steve Rhodes has included the Australian all-rounder in a 12 man squad.

Rhodes confirmed earlier in the week that Hastings would play some part in either of this week's two games as a batsman.

The 31-year-old has arrived early at New Road to continue the latter stages of his rehabilation from patella tendon surgery with the County's medical team.

Daryl Mitchell, Ross Whiteley, George Rhodes, Ed Barnard and Josh Tongue along with Hastings are drafted in as Rhodes takes the opportunity to use all of his squad during the two matches.

Alex Milton will again keep wicket in the absence of Ben Cox and Joe Clarke.

Cox and Clarke are heading home after playing for the MCC in the match against the Champion County in Abu Dhabi.
