Alex Hepburn and Ed Barnard made the most of some invaluable practice when turning out for the colts sides of Willetton Dragons and Scarborough respectively in the Western Australia Cricket Association Colts League.
The Worcestershire duo had been frustrated by the weather on the previous day as the entire WACA first grade programme was washed out.
Hepburn skippered Willetton against Bayswater-Morley and finished with 3-41 in 9.4 overs as the home side were dismissed for 189 in 48.4 overs after being put into bat.
He then went in at number three and scored 34 off 53 balls but Willetton were bowled out for177 in 49.4 overs.
Barnard enjoyed success with the ball as Scarborough triumphed away to South Perth.
Scarborough totalled 200-8 in 50 overs after being asked to bat first and then Barnard picked up four wickets as South Perth subsided to 187 all out in 48.2 overs.
The game was in the balance at 135-4 but then Barnard picked up three quick wickets.
