Alex Hepburn sparkled with bat and ball but Willetton Dragons were edged out by three wickets in their Western Australia Cricket Association first grade encounter at home to Wanneroo Districts.
Worcestershire all-rounder Hepburn passed the fifty mark for the first time in first grade cricket this winter and also returned his best bowling figures.
Hepburn came in at number with Willetton struggling at 55-4 after being put into bat and added 125 with M. Johnston.
He was eventually out for 57 and then Johnston completed his hundred as Willetton closed on 230-7 from 50 overs.
Wanneroo looked to be coasting to victory after reaching 196-3 but then Hepburn enjoyed a four wicket burst.
He removed J Fawcett (17), J Johnston (2), D Peters (0) and K Miller (1) as Wanneroo subsided to 214-7 before finally triumphing.
Hepburn finished with 4-37 from nine overs.
Tom Fell's side, Mount Lawley, were on the receiving end of an undefeated century from Somerset opener Tom Abell as Fremantle romped to an eight wicket home win in the WACA first grade clash.
Mount Lawley elected to bat and were dismissed for 193 in 49.3 overswith Fell, batting at number three, making six. Abell hit 112 not out off 98 balls with 16 fours and shared in a second wicket stand of 152 with C Wood (61) as Fremantle reached their target with 15.5 overs to spare.
Academy opener Ollie Westbury's side, Hay Park, suffered their first T20 defeat of the season in the Bunbury and District Association competition.
They went down by 46 runs against Colts who won the toss and made 145-5.
Westbury bowled three overs and picked up one wicket for 15 runs.
Hay Park, who had won their opening three T2 games, were restricted to 99-9 in reply with Westbury making 12 off 12 balls after opening.
