King Included In Seconds Side For Opening Championship Clash

Worcestershire Seconds have included paceman Matthew King in their side for the tomorrow opening Second Eleven Championship match of the campaign against Leicestershire Seconds at Oakham School.

King, aged 22, played two List 'A' games for Hampshire, against Bangladesh 'A' in 2013 and Sri Lanka 'A' in 2014.

Last season the Basingstoke-born player represented MCC Young Cricketers.

Paceman Charlie Morris, who has not played in the opening two Specsavers County Championship games with Gloucestershire and Essex, also forms part of the attack.

The Seconds produced some encouraging performances in the SEC last summer and the highlight was an innings and 40 run triumph over Yorkshire at Barnt Green.

Several Academy players were also bloodied to good effect including Josh Tongue and Ben Twohig.
