Tom Kohler-Cadmore's golden run of form at New Road as he scored a brilliant century to lead a Worcestershire fightback on day one of the Specsavers County Championship clash with Gloucestershire at New Road.
The 21-year-old achieved his career best 153 not out to help Worcestershire recover from 34-5 in bowler-friendly conditions.
He ended the day having struck 23 fours in his 262 ball knock as Worcestershire closed on 341-8 from 96 overs.
It was Kohler-Cadmore's fourth century in his last five innings at the County's headquarters in all competitions.
He scored 130 not out against Middlesex in the final game of last season, scored an unbeaten 119 against Essex last month, 51 in the next clash with Sussex and then, in the NatWest T20 Blast, 127 off the Durham attack.
Kohler-Cadmorer was given excellent support by wicket-keeper-batsman Ben Cox, all-rounder Ed Barnard and paceman Jack Shantry. .
Cox aided Kohler-Cadmore in a record equalling 155 for the sixth wicket in fixtures against their West Country opponents.
Their stand matched the 155 by Cox and Joe Clarke in the contest between the two counties last month at Bristol.
Cox again weighed in with a crucial innings when it was most needed after the County's early troubles.
He made 75 from 108 balls with 14 fours and the pair counter-attacked to great effect in scoring at four runs an over.
It was his seventh Championship 50 since scoring a ton against Somerset at New Road 12 months ago.
Then Barnard continued the good work by registering his maiden first class 50 from 78 balls with eight fours in a eighth wicket stand of 92 in 27 overs with Kohler-Cadmore.
Jack Shantry continued the resistance batting at number ten with 26 not out in a stand so far worth 44.
Worcestershire batted first after the toss was uncontested with Gloucestershire taking up the option to bowl.
Home skipper Daryl Mitchell (0) was trapped lbw to the third ball of the opening over from David Payne.
Joe Clarke got off the mark to the next delivery with a square drive for three. But he did not add to his score before edging Liam Norwell to Chris Dent to slip.
The total was also added to courtesy of two deliveries flying to the boundary for four byes and four leg byes.
But with the total on 26, George Hankins at third slip parried an edge from Alexei Kervezee (2) off Payne and Dent ran from second slip to complete the catch.
D'Oliveira (10) became Payne's second lbw victim and Ross Whiteley (3) was bowled by Josh Shaw at 34-5 in the 12th over.
But Kohler-Cadmore and Cox improved the picture in quickfire fashion.
A boundary to Kohler-Cadmore off Craig Miles brought up the 50 and he then straight drove Shaw for successive fours.
Another straight drive for four by the former Malvern College pupil – also off Miles – brought up the 50 partnership with Cox in nine overs.
Cox was providing the perfect foil for the more aggressive Kohler-Cadmore and also reeled off several pleasing strokes of his own.
Payne returned to the attack after an opening spell of 7-1-11-3 and Kohler-Cadmore collected three boundaries in an over to go to an excellent half century.
It came off 57 balls and contained 11 boundaries.
The Worcestershire 100 was raised in the 27th over and the boundaries continued to flow as they reached 114-5 off 30 overs at lunch.
Play followed a similar pattern after the interval and the 100 stand was raised in 24 overs.
A back foot cover drive brought Cox his tenth four -off Miles – and took him tohis half century off 68 balls.
The wicket-keeper-batsman had one escape on 52 when surviving a caught and bwled chance to Norwell.
It was Miles who eventually broke the stand when Cox provided Dent with a third catch at second slip.
Vice-captain Joe Leach (4) fell to the same bowler when he tried to pull a delivery and was caught at point by Jack Taylor.
But Kohler-Cadmore went to three figures shortly afterwards with a single off Norwell out of 215-7 from 154 balls with 18 boundaries.
Runs flowed freely from the bats of Kohler-Cadmore and Barnard in the final session before the second new ball was taken at 280-7 after 80 overs.
Barnard eventually fell two balls after completing his 50, lbw to Norwell.
