Kohler-Cadmore And D’oliveira Included In County Squad To Face Hants

Worcestershire Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes has named a 13 strong squad for the LV = County Championship clash with fellow promoted side Hampshire at New Road starting tomorrow.

Rhodes has selected the 11 players on duty in the 113 run defeat against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge plus batsman Tom Kohler-Cadmore and all-rounder Brett D'Oliveira.

Kohler-Cadmore, left out of the side after the opening two LV = CC matches of the season, scored his highest score for the Second Eleven – 153 – in the innings win over Yorkshire in his last knock in red ball cricket.

He also achieved a career best NatWest T20 Blast tally when he hit a splendid 75 in Friday's win over Notts Outlaws at Trent Bridge.

D'Oliveira has also impressed for the Seconds and scored a century as opener in the Second Eleven Trophy success over Unicorns at Kidderminster last Wednesday.

And like Kohler-Cadmore, he has also made a telling contribution in the T20 Blast since being recalled after a three game absence.

Alex Gidman, who suffered a bout of concussion when hit by a Ben Hilfenhaus bouncer at Trent Bridge on Tuesday, is part of the 13.

He was unable to take any further part in the game and did not bat in the second innings.

Worcestershire had the better of a rain-hit draw with Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl when the loss of more than 100 overs denied them a probable victory.
