Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Alex Gidman scored half centuries for Worcestershire Seconds on a rain-shortened first day of the Second Eleven Championship match with Derbyshire Seconds at Flagge Meadow.
Worcestershire were put into bat and closed the day on 218-3 with only 58.1 of the 104 overs possible.
Play did not get underway until 11.50am and was then called off for the day at 5.50pm.
It was yet another day at this venue which has been badly affected by the weather after only 45 overs were possible on the first two days of the Championship game with MCC Universities last week.
Kohler-Cadmore followed up his 150 in the recent win over Yorkshire Seconds at Barnt Green with another substantial contribution after being left out of the LV = County Championship side at Scarborough.
He hit 11 fours in making 74 off 148 balls and shared in an opening stand of 67 with George Rhodes before the latter was caught in the slips by Jonathan Clare off Wayne White.
Gidman then came to the wicket and added 79 in 23 overs with Kohler-Cadmore.
Kohler-Cadmore was second out at 146, also falling in the slip cordon to Tom Knight, off leg spinner Matthew Critchley.
Gidman made exactly 50 from 77 balls with six boundaries before he was caught behind off Critchley.
By the close skipper Alexei Kervezee had moved quickly onto 48 not out from 52 balls with eight fours.
