Tom Kohler-Cadmore ended his current spell with Penrith Panthers in dramatic fashion – and with his side joint top of the Sydney Grade Cricket first grade.
The Worcestershire batsman was part of the Panthers side which defeated home side Sutherland CC by two runs in a thrilling finish on day two.
And the six points collected for that narrow success lifted Penrith level on points at the top of the table with Bankstown who went down to Gordon CC.
It was a fitting finale to what has been a successful winter Down Under for Kohler-Cadmore who will now return to New Road to prepare for the pre-season tour of Abu Dhabi.
He played his part in full on the opening day, scoring 50 out of Penrith's 342 all out, and then catching Yorkshire's Jack Leaning before the close of day.
Today he watched on from the outfield as the fortunes of both sides see-sawed.
Sutherland were well placed at 163-2 thanks to 90 from M. Brown but were then reduced to 244-7.
A partnership of 57 between D. Fallins (49) and R. Ayre (27) put Sutherland back in contention.
Then, after being 314-9, the last pair of Fallins and D. Malone (13 not out) added 26 before the former was caught and bowled by R. Smith to signal scenes of joy amongst the Penrith players.
