Tom Kohler-Cadmore insists Worcestershire will bounce back "a lot stronger" from their third innings experiences against Yorkshire as they prepare for Sunday's LV= County Championship clash with Sussex at Hove.
Kohler-Cadmore says the players "know what we've got to do to survive" in Division One as they look to put the 10 wicket reversal against The Tykes behind them.
The former Malvern College pupil said: "The first two days saw some really good cricket from us and to get a small first innings lead was massive and a good confidence boost for all of the lads.
"But everyone was disappointed with the third innings. They bowled well but also we played poorly and it's those third innings that win or lose a game.
"We know we've got to improve in that area but we are all looking forward to the challenge of it. We knew this division was going to be tough.
"It's all a big learning curve for everyone and we will come back from it a lot stronger."
Kohler-Cadmore added: "We know what we've got to do to survive in this league. We've played the best bowling attack now and in the first innings we scored 300.
"I know the last time we were in the First Division we only scored 300 twice.
"For us to do it first game against the best attack says a lot about us as a group so hopefully we can keep doing that.
"We've just got to keep banging away and keeping doing the stuff we know we are good at and what got us promoted in the first place, fight like hell to get the points and do what we do and keep going."
Kohler-Cadmore is confident Worcestershire will be in the right frame of mind to take on Sussex after the third day disappointments against Yorkshire.
He said: "We are all young, we will shrug it off because we haven't got too many scars. For a lot of us, it was our first game in First Division cricket.
"Now we've got a feel for it, it's a good challenge and I enjoyed it even though I only got 20 odd. I enjoyed the challenge of it but a bit disappointed to get out the way I did."
