Worcestershire batsman Tom Kohler-Cadmore will have an x-ray to determine the extent of the finger injury suffered during the Royal London One-Day Cup setback against Yorkshire Vikings at Headingley yesterday.
The19-year-old sustained the setback when failing to hold a slip catch offered by Vikings batsman Kane Williamson off Worcestershire paceman Mitchell McClenaghan in his second over.
Kohler-Cadmore immediately left the field and 12th man Brett D'Oliveira fielded as a substitute for the remainder of the six wicket defeat.
Worcestershire Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes said: "Tom has just caught one on the end of a finger dropping a catch. That could have been important obviously because Williamson got a few runs after that.
"No-one means to drop them and Tom has got a safe pair of hands generally. The ball dipped and just caught him on the end of his finger.
"He's got a lot of blood there and the nail is a bit mangled.
"The physio (Ben Davies) was just a bit concerned he may have done some damage to it, a little bit more serious, like a fracture.
"What we'll do is have it x-rayed on Friday and we'll just find out whether he has got a little hair-line fracture or not."
