Kohler-Cadmore’s Efforts Down Under Help Penrith To Club Championship

Tom Kohler-Cadmore's side, Penrith Panthers, have been crowned champions of the 2015-2016 McDonald's Sydney Grade Club Championship.

The Worcestershire batsman enjoyed a successful campaign Down Under as opening batsman at first grade level for the past five months.

Kohler-Cadmore was the Panthers leading run-getter before returning to New Road two weeks ago.

Penrith are also through to the qualifying finals of the Sydney Grade Cricket first grade competition.

Kohler-Cadmore tweeted: "Great work everyone at @PenrithCC winning the club champs. Now onto finals."

Panthers first grade coach Steve Small praised his contribution, work-rate and attitude over the weekend and said the club would welcome him back for another spell.

The Club Championship is made up of results of the First Grade, First Grade Limited Overs, Second Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade, Fifth Grade, Poidevin Gray Shield (U/21) and AW Green Shield (U/16) competitions.

Penrith won this season’s Club Championship with 1,303 points.

They finished second in First Grade, Second Grade and Fourth Grade, sixth in the First Grade Limited Overs competition, eighth in Fifth Grade, sixth in the Poidevin Gray Shield and ninth in the AW Green Shield.

Penrith were 28 points clear of second placed Sydney (1,275 points) with Sutherland (1,232 points) coming in third.

This is the third time that Penrith have won the Club Championship with other titles coming in the 2008/09 and 1982/83 seasons. Last summer’s Club Champions, Manly-Warringah, were placed ninth.
