Kohler-Cadmore’s Side Chase Down Another 300 Plus Total

Tom Kohler-Cadmore's side, Penrith Panthers, chased down a 300 plus score for the third time this season to defeat home side Gordon CC in the Sydney Grade Cricket first grade encounter.

Kohler-Cadmore had made signficant contributions to the victories over Eastern Suburbs and Mosman.

This time the Worcestershire batsman made 14 from 38 balls with three fours after opening the innings and was second out at 39.

But J Samuel with an unbeaten 106 off just 94 balls with two sixes and 15 fours helped Penrith to their challenging target.

Gordon had resumed on 308-8 and were eventually bowled out for 320. But Penrith overhauled their total to win by four wickets and collected six points.

George Rhodes made another useful contribution with the bat for North Canberra Gungahlin on day one of the ACT Premier Cricket first grade Douglas Cup match with visiting Weston Creek Molonglo.

The Worcestershire all-rounder was second top scorer with 36 after opening the innings and was third out at 77. North Canberra were bowled out for 209 in 79.4 overs after winning the toss.

Rhodes bowled three overs for six runs as Weston reached 60-3 off 20 overs in reply. The game will be concluded next weekend.

Academy opener Ollie Westbury's team, Hay Park, suffered a third successive defeat in the Bunbury and District Association first grade match with visiting Dalyellup Beach, going down by 19 runs.

Westbury returned figures of 10-2-34-1 as Dalyellup were restricted to 175-6 from 50 overs after winning the toss.

Westbury made14 off 58 balls with one boundary and was third out at 35 and then Hay Park lost their last three wickets for one run as they were dismissed for 156 in 48.5 overs.
