Last Chance Today To Purchase Membership At Discount Rate

Last Chance Today To Purchase Membership At Discount Rate

It's only two months to the opening LV = County Championship fixture at New Road – and today is your last chance to renew or purchase a Worcestershire 2015 membership at the discount rate.

Reigning champions Yorkshire will be the visitors on April 12 and provide the first test for skipper Daryl Mitchell's newly promoted side.

It is a mouth-watering opener to Worcestershire's 150th Anniversary Year.

And the good news is members can enjoy the entire season for just £204 if they renew or purchase by direct debit by the end of today.

After that, the price will go up by £20.

At £204, premium membership is now cheaper than it was for the 2014 season if purchased from February onwards!

Yorkshire overcame the absence of several players to England duty to lift the title while Worcestershire defied pre-season bookmakers odds of 33-1 to be promoted.

Some of those players are again likely to be absent – including our own Moeen Ali – given that the fixture overlaps with England's tour of the West Indies during April.

But it will offer home fans the opportunity to see new signing, batsman Alex Gidman from Gloucestershire, make his debut for Worcestershire.

Gidman scored a superb century against Worcestershire on his last appearance at New Road in August.

Worcestershire CCC commercial director Jon Graham said: "When you think of the cost of football or rugby now, for a fraction of the cost people can come to New Road for the equivalent of less than £4.50 a day and see the best young talent this country is producing in the top flight of first class cricket.

"From a playing perspective, what better time than when we're in Division One, four days against Warwickshire, four days against New Zealand, Yorkshire, Somerset, there’s a lot to look forward to this summer."

Membership and Ticketing Manager Amy Francetti said: "The membership dead-line was extended from January 31 until February 12 to tie with the fact it will then be exactly two months until the start of the 2015 season (April 12).

"It has given members a little bit more time to renew at the discounted rates before the prices go up by £20 but today is the last day it is available.

"We've had a great response so far, a lot of new members coming on board, on the back of last year's success and with it being the club's 150th Anniversary Year."
