Joe Leach goes into Worcestershire's final match of the season against Derbyshire at New Road needing two more wickets to surpass his Specsavers County Championship tally for the 2015 campaign.
The all-rounder was the County's top wicket-taker 12 months ago with 59 from 14 matches after coming into the side for the third game of the season in place of the injured Gareth Andrew.
This summer the 25-year-old has picked up 58 wickets from 14 completed matches since the opening game wash-out versus Kent.
Vice-captain Leach was Worcestershire's Players' Player Of The Year for 2015 and is a strong contender again this season.
But amongst his rivals for that award is keeper Ben Cox who has enjoyed another excellent season with bat and gloves and shown ceaseless energy and enthusiasm behind the stumps.
Like Leach with the ball, he is close to bettering last summer's achievements with the bat.
In 2015 Cox scored 778 runs in the First Division at an average of 37.04 with one hundred and five half centuries.
This summer he has amassed 752 runs at 37.60 with six fifties.
