Joe Leach's successful spell with North Canberra Gungahlin came to an end with his side having to settle for a draw in the Australian Capital Trophy first grade clash away to Weston Creek Molonglo.
The Worcestershire all-rounder helped the Northies win their first trophy for 10 years in the Konica Minolta T20 Regional Cup and also reach the semi-finals of the RSM Bird Cameron Gallop Cup.
Leach made telling contributions with bat and ball throughout his five month stay but he and his team-mates were frustrated by Weston Creek opener JR Dean today.
North Canberra extended their first innings total from the first day's 267-6 to 344-9 from 97 overs before declaring.
Leach made an early breakthrough in dismissing opener K Jacob (2) and Weston Creek were in deep trouble at 14-3.
But Dean played a superb knock of 145 not out and Weston Creek were able to recover and close on 218-5.
Leach finished with figures of 1-53 from 12 overs and will now head home to New Road to prepare for the county's pre-season tour of Abu Dhabi.
His county team-mate Joe Clarke is also in the middle of his final game for South Perth with the action against home side Bayswater-Morley spread over today and tomorrow (Sunday).
Clarke, batting at number three, was dismissed for 12 to leave South Perth on 26-3 in the Western Australian Cricket Association 'A' grade encounter.
But they recovered to reach 238 all out in 84.2 overs thanks to half centuries from H Brown (64) and M Hood (59) and a last wicket stand of 49.
Bayswater reached 11-1 off four overs by the close.
Clarke has also enjoyed a successful time Down Under with one hundred and six half centuries as well as impressing behind the stumps.
