MARSHALL HANDED SECONDS T20 DEBUT AGAINST YORKSHIRE

Worcestershire Seconds launch their T20 campaign tomorrow with two matches against Yorkshire at Weetwood (11.30am and 3pm).

Paceman George Marshall – a member of the Academy pathway – will make his Seconds debut

The 18-year-old, a pupil at Bromsgrove School, plays for Bromsgrove CC in the Birmingham League.

Marshall was part of the Worcestershire Under-17 side which competed in the Royal London One-Day Cup and in last week’s trio of games with Ireland Under-19s.

Another pathway player – batsman Joe Miszkowski – is included in the Seconds squad and will gain valuable experience in the 12th man role.

All-rounder George Rhodes returns to the Seconds after recovering from a neck injury.

The Seconds will also take on Northamptonshire in two T20s at Kidderminster on Thursday (11.30am and 3pm).
