Assistant coach Matt Mason says Worcestershire Rapids are just "one win away from getting some momentum" in the NatWest T20 Blast as they gear up for a trio of away games in the competition.
The Rapids will visit Yorkshire Vikings tomorrow followed by matches away to Notts Outlaws and Northamptonshire Steelbacks later in the week.
They are looking to chalk up their first victory in the competition this summer but Mason says it is still possible to reach the quarter-finals.
He said: "We have had success playing away from home. Even in 50 over cricket this year we showed we can win comfortably away from home.
"Certainly the players don't see visiting other teams as a hurdle we've got to overcome. We've just got to play our best cricket and it doesn't matter what the surface, venue or team is.
"We just need to do our skills as best as we can and play a positive brand of cricket. We haven't quite got off to the start we want but we are only one win away from getting some momentum.
"I think it is important we don't brush the results under the carpet either. We've lost three games and we have to look at the reasons why, look at what we can do better – and we are certainly doing that.
"In this game, it is such a fast-paced, frantic game that one or two overs in a match can turn anything and suddenly you've won a game and away you go.
"Momentum is a terrific thing. We got that momentum in the 50 over competition and if we can do that in this competition, then heading into the quarter-finals is still a possibility."
Mason says the Rapids can take confidence from topping the North Group against the same counties in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
He said: "We are going to play those same teams in this format so they are obviously beatable.
"I think we can probably hold our hands up and say we just haven't play our best cricket at this stage of the competition but in previous years we've gone the other way.
"We've started like a rocket and then faded so maybe we will do it the other way around."
