Alex Milton and Ed Barnard top-scored for Worcestershire on another productive day of match practice against Cambridge University in Abu Dhabi.

Wicket-keeper batsman Milton, who is to captain Cardiff MCCU this summer, scored 61 of Worcestershire’s 307-7 from 90 overs.

All-rounder Barnard also weighed in with 61 on the final day of the two day fixture.

There were also useful contributions from Tom Fell (47), Daryl Mitchell (42), Ollie Westbury (24 not out), Jack Haynes (22) Ben Twohig (17 not out) and Ben Cox (17).

It was good time out in the middle on the penultimate day of the 11-day trip to the UAE for the Worcestershire squad.

This followed on from yesterday’s work-out for many of the County’s bowlers when 13 Cambridge wickets fell.

Head Coach Kevin Sharp and the players will head back to Blackfinch New Road on Monday before beginning their match preparations on home soil.

They will take on Somerset at the main county ground in Taunton – a game switched from Taunton Vale – in a two day affair and Gloucestershire at Bristol in a three-day encounter.
