MILTON CLOCKS UP THIRD SUCCESSIVE FIFTY IN BROMSGROVE TRIUMPH

Alex Milton notched up a third successive half century for Bromsgrove in their 101 run victory over Ombersley in a Birmingham League Premier Division Two encounter.

The Worcestershire wicket-keeper batsman came to the wicket at 51-2 and held the innings together before he was ninth out for 56.

His 73 ball knock contained six fours and followed on from his 54 not out versus Tamworth and 56 against Wolverhampton.

County white ball vice-captain Brett D’Oliveira picked up two wickets in 23 runs in his 8.3 overs as Bromsgrove were bowled out for 187.

He also top-scored with 30 for Ombersley who were dismissed for 86.

In the same division Worcestershire opener Ollie Westbury opened for Himley and scored 36 – off 76 balls with four boundaries – of their 210-8.

But opponents Halesowen made light of their target and won by eight wickets with 7.4 overs to spare.

In Division One, Worcestershire coach Andy Sutton collected a second five wicket haul in the space of the past two weeks for Barnt Green who overpowered Dorridge by eight wickets.

Sutton took the new ball and destroyed the Dorridge top order to finish with 10-5-25-5 as they were skittled for 79 in 22.3 overs.

County Academy player Zain Ul-Hassan also weighed in with 2-14 and then Barnt Green secured victory in just 14.2 overs.
