Worcestershire currently boast the top run-scorer and second highest wicket-taker in Division Two of the Specsavers County Championship.

Opener Daryl Mitchell's superb run of form has elevated him onto 565 Championship runs at an average of 70.62.

After scoring only 31 runs in his first two matches, Mitchell has put together consecutive scores of 120, 161, 78 not out, 121 and 54 and in the process passed 10,000 first class runs for the County.

Mitchell, who signed a new four year contract during the winter, has moved ahead of Billy Godleman (502), Riki Wessels (476), Ned Eckersley (475), Paul Collingwood (465) and Colin Ingram (457).

On the bowling front, Worcestershire skipper Joe Leach has already taken 29 wickets in the opening five Championship games.

Only Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens is ahead of him with 30 victims.

Leach has three five wicket hauls to his credit so far during the current campaign.

Next up is Nathan Buck (28) followed by Luke Fletcher (25) and Jofra Archer and Jeevan Mendis with 24 wickets apiece.
